Make your own creative mosaic coasters

Children's eyes light up when they see the colorful mosaic tiles and are allowed to create their own patterns. With a steady hand and full concentration, a very personal work of art is created. For you, this means a relaxed creative phase at the children's birthday party where all the children are kept busy. As everything you need is included in the set, you can start the crafting activity without a lot of preparation. The best thing is that at the end, every child will take home a homemade, useful coaster - a souvenir that will really be remembered and won't end up in the next corner.

The complete set contains everything you need for four beautiful mosaic coasters. In addition to the four round bamboo coasters, each with a diameter of approx. 9.5 cm, the set includes enough colorful mosaic tiles, the right adhesive and grout. A mixing bowl, a small spatula and a sponge are also included so that you can get started straight away. Step-by-step instructions guide you through the process: stick on the tiles, leave to dry and then grout. So every child can create their own masterpiece.

This craft set is ideal as a program item for a children's birthday party, especially if a quieter phase is desired. It is also a wonderful activity for a rainy afternoon or to create a personalized gift for grandma and grandpa. The activity promotes fine motor skills and patience. Schritt für Schritt Anleitung:

Die farbigen Mosaiksteine werden Stein für Stein aufgeklebt – so entstehen Stück für Stück 4 wunderschöne Untersetzer in strahlenden Farben.
Anschließend die Fugenmasse im Verhältnis 3:1* mit Wasser anrühren und gleichmäßig verteilen.
Mit dem Schwamm das überschüssige Material sanft entfernen – und die Farben leuchten sofort herrlich.
Über Nacht trocknen lassen – und schon sind die tolle Untersetzer fertig!

* Das Mischverhältnis 3 : 1 lässt sich am einfachsten so erklären: Ihr mischt 3 Teile Pulver (z. B. 3 Esslöffel oder 3 kleine Becher) mit 1 Teil Wasser (z. B. 1 Esslöffel oder 1 kleiner Becher). Wichtig ist, dass ihr immer dasselbe Gefäss zum Abmessen verwendet.

Falls die Masse zu fest ist, könnt ihr einfach noch etwas Wasser dazugeben.
Ist sie zu weich oder matschig, gebt ein wenig Pulver hinzu.

Achte darauf, dass die Kinder die Mosaiksteine unter Aufsicht verwenden, besonders wenn sie unter 6 Jahre alt sind. Die Steine sind klein und könnten verschluckt werden. Stelle sicher, dass der Arbeitsbereich gut beleuchtet ist und die Kinder konzentriert arbeiten.

Die Bastelzeit beträgt etwa 1 bis 2 Stunden, abhängig vom Tempo der Kinder. Nach dem Aufkleben der Mosaiksteine sollte der Kleber vollständig trocknen, bevor die Fugenmasse aufgetragen wird. Plane daher genügend Zeit ein, damit die Untersetzer vollständig trocknen können.

Ja, die Kinder können die Mosaiksteine nach eigenen Vorstellungen anordnen und so individuelle Muster und Designs erstellen. Dies fördert ihre Kreativität und macht jedes Kunstwerk einzigartig.

Die fertigen Untersetzer können mit einem feuchten Tuch abgewischt werden. Vermeide es, sie längere Zeit in Wasser einzutauchen, um die Haltbarkeit zu gewährleisten.
