Kinderparties.ch is a Swiss online store based in Horgen, Canton Zurich.
Shipping / Delivery
We deliver exclusively to Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
We send all parcels with Swiss Post.

Kinderparties.ch is based in Switzerland and all goods are sent by Swiss Post.
There are no additional charges such as customs duties or Swiss VAT.
You only pay what is displayed in the shopping cart or at checkout.
The delivery time depends on the time of the order and which shipping method you choose:
For orders Mon-Fri before 4 pm (after 4 pm plus 1 working day)
- Swiss Mond Express: delivery on the following working day (incl. Saturday)
- PostPac Priority: delivery on the following working day (excl. Saturday)*
- PostPac Economy: 2-4 working days (excl. Saturday)
- A-Post Plus (for envelopes only): Delivery on the following working day (incl. Saturday)
- Collection from the warehouse: same day
* Please note: Swiss Post delivers 97% of PostPac Priority parcels on time. But: unfortunately there is no guarantee. With PostPac Priority, delivery may take a day longer in 3% of cases. If it is really urgent, we recommend choosing Swiss Mond Express.
- Exception: prepayment. Shipment only 1-2 days after receipt of payment.
ATTENTION: These times do not apply to rental party crates. The party crates, including all party items ordered, will be delivered no later than 2 days before the party.
Party boxes will be delivered or ready for collection at least 2-3 working days before your party.
The party items ordered are included in this delivery.
Exceptions are invitation cards purchased in the same order: we deliver these postage-free directly after the order is placed.
As soon as we ship your goods, you will receive a shipping confirmation email from us.
In this email you will find a tracking code that you can use to track your delivery.
Please note that this link is usually only updated by the post office on the evening of dispatch.
How to read the data?
The day of data transmission corresponds to the day of our dispatch.
All subsequent information on delivery updates and where your parcel is located will then come directly from Swiss Post.
All items will be delivered in a package 2-3 working days before your party or made available for collection.
If you order invitations and at least one party box at the same time, the invitations will be sent out immediately. This shipping of the purchased invitation cards is postage-free for you.
On request, we will be happy to send you your ordered party items in advance in exchange for the additional postage.

Postage is calculated correctly depending on your choice of shipping method in the checkout and the type of item ordered.
This means that before you complete your order, you will see your personal shipping costs during the checkout process.

There is no dispatch on the following days (public holidays in the Canton of Zurich):

Please enquire about the public holidays in your canton. Swiss Post does not deliver parcels on these days.

Of course you can also come and collect your goods.
Simply select "Collection" in the checkout when ordering in the online store.
For orders placed Mon-Fri until 4 pm, the order will be ready for collection within a few hours.
As soon as it is ready, we will send you a pick-up notification.
The special thing about us: as soon as you have received your pick-up notification, you can come and collect your goods 24 hours a day, every day. You are not tied to any opening hours.

For your maximum flexibility, we have found a solution that allows you to drop by at any time: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

No parcels are packed on public holidays in the Canton of Zurich or on the following days:
- January 1
- January 2nd
- Good Friday
- Easter Monday

This means that if you order on these days, your goods will not be made available for collection.
However, if you have already placed your order the day before, you are welcome to come by on the public holiday. Collection is possible at any time.
So that you don't have to visit us so often, we will make the party box including all purchased party items available for you at least 2 working days before your party.
As soon as the party box and the items are ready for collection, you will receive a collection notification from us.

If you have placed more items in the shopping cart than we have in stock, the system will automatically reduce the number in the shopping cart.
So if the quantity is lower than you would like to order, we unfortunately do not have enough items in stock.
The product is marked as not in stock. How long does it take until it can be ordered again?
We regularly reorder goods. This means that the item may be available again in 1-2 days. But sometimes goods are also sold out by the manufacturer and we have to wait longer.
So if you have any questions, just get in touch with us and we will be happy to help you.
We try to keep our product descriptions error-free.
But of course we are only human and it can happen that we make a mistake. We apologize for this.

Returns of purchased items & party boxes
All orders for purchase items can be canceled free of charge at any time up to shipping. You can inform us of this informally by e-mail.
As soon as the goods have been dispatched, we grant a voluntary 30-day right of withdrawal, which you can make use of.

Excluded are
- Food
- Products whose (hygiene) packaging has been opened
- Party boxes for rent

In the event of a return, you will bear the costs of the return shipment, but we will pay the postage for the outward journey (if the item is returned in full).
The return shipping costs are added to the party crate rental.
Why don't we include these in the party crate rental?
Because there are many customers who hire 2 or 3 party crates for a party. They would then pay postage several times.
So it's fairer for everyone.
Rental crates can be canceled free of charge up to 1 week before the party.
Approx. 1 week before your party, we will pack and ship your party crates. After shipping, 100% of the rental price is due.
But of course we understand if children fall ill and the party has to be canceled. We will work with you to find a solution.

As soon as we have received the goods and they are complete or unopened, we will refund the amount to the originally selected payment method.

What are party boxes?
Our party boxes are specially compiled boxes that contain everything you need for your birthday child to have an unforgettable children's birthday party. From costumes and games to baking tins - with our boxes, every party will be a highlight!
Why hire a party box?
We want children to have fun and enjoy playing, remember the party fondly and the birthday child to be happy because they had an extraordinary party thanks to their parents. With our crates, you can create a special atmosphere without much effort.
What types of party boxes are there?
- Costume party boxes: perfect for dressing up fun! Whether princesses, pirates or other favorite characters - there's something for every child.
- Game party boxes: Classic and creative games to match the theme that will delight all guests.
- Game accessory party boxes: For smaller highlights, such as witches' brooms and hats or knights' swords and helmets and much more.
- Baking tins for hire: For those who want to create a customized birthday cake, we offer a selection of baking tins.
How does party crate hire work?
Simply select the right crate on the homepage, enter all your requirements directly in the product and place an order via the online store.
As soon as we receive it, we will check availability on your party date and send you a separate order confirmation by email.
You will receive your party box at least 2 working days before the party and after the party you send it back or bring it back to us.
At the end you will receive a final confirmation.
What ages are the party boxes suitable for?
Our boxes are designed for different age groups. In the respective descriptions you will find information on the age for which each box is suitable.
When you place an order via the online store, you are essentially requesting the rental of a party crate. Immediately after placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation.
We will then check availability on your desired date and send you a second email with an order confirmation.
If the party crate is available, it will then be reserved for you.
2-3 days before your party you will receive your party crate for your party.
The party box must be returned to us 2 days after the party.

Basically, the earlier you order, the greater the chances that we can fulfill all your wishes.
We recommend 3-4 weeks before your party, then we can reserve the party box for you and nobody can snatch it from under your nose ;-)
When should I order at the latest?
Our party boxes are put together individually for each party, hand-packed and checked by a second person. We need time for this.
We also promise delivery at least 2 days before the party. We usually send the party boxes 7 days before the party.
We therefore ask you to order as early as possible.
There are only 7 days or less until the party. Is it no longer possible?
Of course, we try to make everything possible even for orders placed at short notice.
When ordering with A-Post (short-term party crate rental), shipping is possible 3 working days before the party.
However, it is possible that not everything is available because it has already been allocated to another party.
Our party boxes are put together individually for each party, hand-packed and checked by a second person. We need time for this.
The shipping times also need to be taken into account.
There are only 7 or fewer days until the party. Will it not work now?
Of course, we try to make everything possible, even for last-minute orders.
When ordering with A Mail (short-term party box rental), shipping is possible 3 working days before the party.
With Swiss Mond Express, it may even be possible to rent at even shorter notice.
What might not work then?
- The goods may not arrive until one day before the party
- Not everything is available
- Some special requests may no longer be able to be fulfilled.
Why do party boxes have such a long lead time?
- We promise delivery 2 days before the party. This means that the goods usually have to be dispatched 7 days before the party, allowing for a buffer. When ordering with A Mail, delivery is possible 3 days before the party.
- In addition, 1-2 days are required for clarifying availability, queries, clarification of special requests plus the time for packing. Packing takes a lot of time, especially for game party boxes, as these are put together individually for you.
Immediately after placing your order in the online store, you will receive a confirmation of receipt of your order. (Please note: this is not yet a rental confirmation).
We will then check the availability of the party crate on your desired date.
If the party crate is available, you will receive a second email from us with the order confirmation / rental confirmation. From then on, your party crate is reserved for you.
No later than 2 days before your party, including all other purchase items ordered.
Exceptions are invitations that were purchased when you ordered the party box. These will be sent to you directly after your order - postage free for you.
- Return instructions are included with every party box.
- Each party box contains a checklist with which you can easily tick off all the items to be returned.
- A label with the return address is included.
- Simply pack all the goods and bring them to the post office no later than 2 days after your party.
- Returning with B Mail / PostPac Economy is sufficient.

No, we wash for you.
We are aware that we provide the party boxes for children's birthday parties. That's where they romp and party. Small defects are considered normal wear and tear and will not be charged for.
We were also able to remove icing and chocolate stains from the cake or mud from playing outside from all the costumes. You don't need to worry about that.
That's part of it.
However, if an excessive number of items are defective or missing. Or the costumes have been drawn on with Edding, acrylic pens or felt-tip pens, for example, and can no longer be cleaned, we will unfortunately have to charge for this.
The return shipping costs are added to the party crate rental.
Why don't we include these in the party crate rental?
Because there are many customers who hire 2 or 3 party crates for a party. They would then pay postage several times.
So it's fairer for everyone.
After your party, you have 2 days to bring the party box to the post office.
Shipping with B Mail / PostPac Economy is sufficient.
If you return the party box by A Mail, you have a little more time ;-)
So that the next children's party can go ahead without disappointment, we urge you to return your rental box on time. In the event of late returns, we will unfortunately have to charge a CHF 20 / day late fee.
Of course, you can also bring the party box to our company address instead of sending it by post.

If you choose to pay in advance, we will only ship your goods once payment has been received.
However, it takes approx. 1-2 working days to process the payment, which is why there may be delays in shipping.
If you need your goods urgently, we recommend that you select a different payment method.
Payment in advance:
You will receive our account details directly after ordering on the confirmation screen, as well as in the order confirmation.
We will also send you an email with a pdf on the first working day after your order. In this pdf you will find a QR code.
